The Department of Arts and Letters (DAL) of Mapúa University will be holding the first episode of its webinar series Connexions: A Convo with Technical Communication Practitioners, on November 9, 2020, to introduce the career paths for Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication graduates to senior high school students.
Technical Communication is a uniquely Mapúan undergraduate degree, which was founded on a strong liberal arts component to develop in students a strong skillset that is effectively grounded on communication, science, and technology.
“The program sharpens its students’ core competencies in the areas of critical thinking, speaking and writing, technology, and collaboration. These are 21st century skills that open wide the doors to a variety of professional careers and academic pursuits for our graduates,” shared Department of Arts and Letters (DAL) Chairperson Prof. Ma. Eliza Torres.
BSTC student Kyle Joshua Castillo, who now works as an E-Learning Developer for New York City’s Department of Social Services, will share his experiences as a technical communication practitioner in a foreign land in the series' Episode 1: TechComm Abroad.
Through the webinar, DAL aims to help incoming college students discover Mapúa’s other cutting-edge program offerings.
